We are currently looking for Saturday Leaders to support our Education Team and after school tutors on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.

About after school tutors we are looking for people who want to support a small group or one-to-one learner, lead a set of activities using resources provided, encourage enjoyment of learning and build self-confidence with praise and feedback.

About Saturday Leaders we are looking for people who want to support small groups of boys (aged 8 to 16) through educational and leadership activities, motivate them to stay on task and discuss the activities with them, provide a positive role model through a mentor-like relationship. There is also the possibility to get involved in planning and leading the sessions if appropriate

‘Walk a mile in my shoes’ is a question and answer session where boys get an opportunity to follow someone’s life journey. We invite members of the community to come to our Saturday leadership session to bring items that reflect their jobs or interests and share stories of their education, career, hobbies, and discuss their goals and aspirations. The initiative was developed to expose boys to a broad spectrum of people from the community and introduce new leisure pursuits and career options. Previous contributors have included a policeman, a fisheries/science officer, a young entrepreneur and an extreme sports enthusiast and mountaineer.
